El Grito Portland, is the largest free community event in the Pacific Northwest, is a unique celebration that not only commemorates the Independence of Mexico and other Latin American countries but also marks the beginning of the National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Each year, thousands of families come together to celebrate the rich and diverse Latino/a/x/e culture, honoring traditions, our ancestors and indigenous heritage.

This free and vibrant celebration is a testament to the strength of our communities, bringing us together through music, food, art, cultural pride and community resources provided by participant organizations.
